The entrance to a prestigious city-centre hotel sets the tone for every guest's stay. The brief called for a glazed canopy that would provide genuine weather protection across a busy arrival point, while complementing the building's classical façade with a clean, contemporary line.
"We thrive on the projects others shy away from — and a feature entrance like this is exactly that."
Working alongside the design team, our engineers developed a curved, suspended canopy — cantilevering from the elevation with no columns to obstruct the pavement or the approach.
The structure combines a painted mild-steel frame with toughened safety glass, suspended on stainless steel fittings and tie components. The curved geometry was developed and detailed in CAD before a single section was cut.
Every element was fabricated in our 40,000 sq ft facility to BS EN 1090, using CE / UKCA-marked materials throughout, then installed by our own certified site team to minimise disruption to the live hotel frontage.
The finished canopy delivers a striking first impression with no compromise on performance — shedding weather away from the entrance and framing the doors with a crisp, modern profile designed to look its best for years to come.
