As part of the works at Royal Ascot, we were appointed to design, fabricate, and install a bespoke glazed entrance door windbreak, combining a decorated mild steel structure with glazed infill panels to protect the main entrance from prevailing winds. The scheme required a solution that would perform practically while reflecting the prestige and character of the setting.
Working closely with the main contractor and design team, we delivered a fully co-ordinated windbreak package engineered to integrate cleanly with the existing entrance architecture, balancing structural performance with a refined, decorative finish.
The entrance windbreak plays a key functional role, reducing wind ingress at the main entrance while preserving clear sightlines and natural light. Particular attention was given to the detailing of the mild steel frame and its decorative finish, ensuring the structure felt as considered visually as it performed practically.
