W21 Supported Glass Roof Walkway School Bradford

The walkway provided a solution to covering a complex sloping entrance to the school canteen and was fabricated entirely from heavy duty SHS/RHS members. Glazing to the roof area is by the use of clear toughened safety glass panels fixed in an aluminium polyester powder coated patent glazing bar system. Support legs are resin anchor fixed to existing stone walling with horizontal supports back to the main structure. All steel work is decorated using our standard heavy duty exterior grade enamel paint system. Between support columns we provided vertical glass barrier balustrade panels which formed an integral part of the walkway. A front running gutter channel and suitable down pipes completed the design.
