SC109 Curtain Walling Suspended Glass Canopy Unit Hull

Urban Design were asked to manufacture and install a planar type glass canopy arrangement directly to a alumnium curtain walling system provided by another sub contractor. The curtain walling system was strengthend by the manufacturer and the design calcualtions carried out by their structural engineer due to the numerous complexities and potential design issues with this type of product. The canopy was manufactured from mild steel components with stainless steel tension rods and planr type fittings throughout. A rear gutter channel completed the design.
