Project Description
A fully galvanised mild steel external escape staircase and landings for a leading UK supermarket was amongst the many items of fabricated steel Urban Design were asked to produce when the steel work sub contractor on site went into liquidation. With incredibly tight deadlines to achieve and little time to pick up the pieces of a demanding project Urban Design completed the fabricated items on time to the great relief and gratitude of the client and main contractor. Treads were galvanised chequer plate with key clamp style handrails to either side of the stairway and landings and all items had to be site measured as the original steelworkers design drawings were not available.
